The OPA Yummy Story
Growing up in a large family, I fell in love with our large family gatherings. Every occasion was exciting because I knew that I will be surrounded by those that I loved and admired. A tradition that I continue today with my little family. At the center of it all was always a full dining table with deliciously yummy food. My mother taught that food etiquette starts at selecting the best ingredients, fresh from the market. She taught me how to inspire and influence by receiving our family and friends at home over her amazing cooking. My father taught me that every occasion has its unique character with its solemn traditions and foods. Weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, holiday celebration, and even formal events inspired me to become a part of the one thing that was at the center of every guest's mind, and that is food.
 
I was born in Alexandria, Egypt and I lived in many countries in the middle east. I tasted and studied culinary secrets from all over the world. I cooked and dined with locals. I learned their traditions and cultures through their homes, dining tables, and kitchens. I got inspired by the endless colors of ingredients and spices. My career as an executive assistant for non-profit organizations was rewarding. My ventures as entrepreneur in the cosmetics industry and apparel was exciting. However, my passion always gravitated towards the arts, the colors, the aromas, the sounds, and the endless creations created with love in the kitchen. It was in Texas that I decided to embrace my passion for cooking and start my career as a Chef. I developed a fusion of World cuisines. I mixed my youthful influence of the Mediterranean with my young adult years of the middle east, with my Egyptian palate to share the yummy creations that will make you say "Opa" with every bite.
